Pakistan's Departure Plans For England Hit As PCB Pushes PSL Final To June 24

After an online meeting with the franchise owners on Tuesday afternoon, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced an alteration in the tentative plans for the remainder of PSL 2021, which the board is striving to hold this month in the UAE. PCB said the tournament will now end on June 24, four days later than originally planned, thus affecting Pakistan's scheduled departure for England as well.

“Pakistan men's team to now depart for England on 25 June instead of 23 June,” PCB said in a release, while adding that it continues to engage with the Abu Dhabi government as it hopes to resume the suspended T20 tournament on June 7.

“Departure for England on 25 June will mean only three double-headers, if the event commences on 7 June,” the board added.

Pakistan are set to play England in three ODIs followed by three T20Is, starting July 8.

Meanwhile, PCB also informed that another batch of seven members, including Sarfaraz Ahmed, had landed in Abu Dhabi.
